Duda Penteado creates artwork that provokes us to think about issues in our social and personal world — the work is visceral and
visually engaging,” His creative vision literally cross-fertilizes primal imagery with modern culture, provoking us to question our
own personal values and the values of a conflicted yet sophisticated society we all depend on.”

ARTISTIC CONCEPT : THE SKY IS THE LIMIT
“Children have been liberated from slavery and now can dream of a better life " reaching out towards the
sun ☀, moon 🌙 and the ⭐ stars ️!!!”
Concept: The art installation is a towering wall composed entirely of artistic bricks, each inspired by the iconography of Duda Penteado,
the ARTIVIST. Each brick tells a story, symbolizing the foundational elements of society and the deep connections among individuals
affected by the injustices of modern slavery and child abuse. The iconography includes four primary symbols: (1) children’s feet in chains,
(2) the moon, (3) the sun, and (4) a star. Together, these symbols form a powerful visual narrative, and the wall itself becomes a
tangible representation of the societal barriers that perpetuate these issues, inviting viewers to engage actively with the artwork.
"Brick by Brick : Unveiling the Chains of Modern Slavery and Child Abuse" Art - Installation
IMPORTANT! For each time an art collector / supporter acquires an original brick with a certificate of authenticity and numbered, a copy will be made to be added to the art - installation wall.
Interactive Elements: Integrated into the art installation are interactive elements that encourage viewer participation and reflection.
Visitors are invited to contribute their own messages or artwork to the wall, symbolizing solidarity with survivors and a commitment
to ending modern slavery and child abuse. Additionally, digital displays or audio recordings provide further context and information
about the issues explored in the installation, offering viewers an opportunity to deepen their understanding and engagement.
Impact and Reflection: "Brick by Brick" challenges viewers to confront their own complicity in perpetuating systems
of oppression and exploitation. By presenting the issue of modern slavery and child abuse in a tangible and visceral way, the
installation prompts reflection and dialogue about the urgent need for action and change.
As viewers interact with the artwork, they are encouraged to consider how they can contribute to dismantling the structures
that enable exploitation and abuse. Through education, advocacy, and support for survivors, individuals are empowered to become
agents of change in their communities and beyond.
Ultimately, "Brick by Brick" serves as a powerful reminder that every action, no matter how small, has the potential to contribute to the liberation and empowerment of
those affected by modern slavery and child abuse.
